Kömmerling® PVC profiles are designed to house galvanized steel reinforcement (to which hardware, hinges and wall screws are fixed) and thick glazing (tempered or laminated). The combination of these factors produces unequalled wind resistance.
In air-tight windows the hardware system makes the sash profile exert pressure on its frame. Additionally, both sash and frame profiles include a synthetic rubber seal in all perimeter, concept known as "perimeter double seal", whose function is to form a barrier against any external agent: water, wind, dust, pollution, etc.
